Privacy Policy
Free Things To Do In Budapest is a directory, and that is the whole of it. The pages describe 45 free walking tours, each one free, pay what you want, and not a single one of them is operated by this site. Every walk belongs to an independent local guide, and a spot on any of them is reserved on GuruWalk, or, for a small set of walks, on freetour.com. Since nothing is sold, booked or paid for here, the information this site could possibly gather about a visitor is tiny, and this page sets out what that amounts to.
What A Visit Here Can Show
No form on this site asks for anything. Reserving a place on a walk means visiting GuruWalk or freetour.com, and whatever a visitor types there, a name, an email address or more, stays with that platform. None of it travels back here. What remains is the plain trail a browser leaves whenever a page is opened.
What Gets Kept
Ordinary cookies can note that a page was viewed. They hold no identity whatsoever. No advertising profile is assembled, and nobody is tracked from one visit to the next. Any analytics that run simply tally pages read as anonymous totals, and go no further.
In A Few Lines
- Nothing is booked or sold here, so no name, email address or card number is ever requested. The only thing held is the page being read.
- Every walk on this site is free, pay what you want, and both the reserved spot and the tip are handled on GuruWalk or freetour.com under their own policies.
- Outbound links to the walks are affiliate links: GuruWalk or freetour.com pays this site a fee when a booking follows, and that fee adds nothing to what a visitor pays.
- Cookies can be switched off or wiped in any browser whenever you like, and this site can be emailed with a question about this page or about any walk on it.
Your Choices
The small amount of data involved stays under your control. Every browser lets you block or clear cookies in its settings, and doing so costs you nothing here: the free-entry facts and all 45 walk descriptions remain open to read. Reserving a walk is a separate matter. That happens on GuruWalk or freetour.com, where an account, and everything inside it, can be shut down by its owner at any moment.
If anything on this page reads unclearly, write to this site at the address in the footer, including requests to fix or take down a walk's description. For anything about a particular walk, its meeting point or when it runs, contact the guide directly through their GuruWalk page or their freetour.com listing: the walk is theirs to run, and this site neither operates it nor accepts bookings.
